I see there are a few different features between the Two, but basically, I was interested to see if the Nox had better recognition distance than the Armasight ? It appears to be a significant difference and wondered if the extra is worth it. Having a small Thermal helmet mounted along with a Pvs-14 would help finding warm things before they find you...

    Hey nitewalker got a question for ya. What would be the best way to bridge mount a pvs 14 and a pvs 18 to make duals? Any suggestions?

    • @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION
      @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION Месяц назад

      That combo isn’t going to work. The -18 is designed to basically have its own “j-arm” so to say meant to attach to a G24 without requiring a j-arm. So if you were to mount the -18 to a bridge with dovetail then it’s offset too far if that makes sense

    • @snowboarder107

    Supergain is definitely worth it. I was torn between Supergain and standard gain but i am definitely happy i forked out the extra beans for a high spec Supergain. My neighbor has a high spec standard gain device (2700 ish FOM with a SNR of 38 and EBI of .3) and even though my has a FOM of only 2502 (39.1 SNR .3 EBI 64 RES) it preforms better in low light and looks extraordinarily sharp. I think his gain is like 66k and mine is like 108k. I dont really understand how a brighter output effects the light input but all i can think of is that they are both taking in the same amount of light but the higher gain just means you can see it better. 🫶

      64 vs 72 is honestly mostly a paper spec. The evaluator actually does it by eye and L3 doesn’t pick numbers in between like others do (IMHO those companies do it to put the FOM at a certain level if needed) so your 64 could really be a “70” for example. I love SuperGain tubes they really do perform better in low light. Glad to hear you like em!
